How to make Christmas food | Appetizer

Happy Christmas!

The footsteps of Christmas have quietly fallen. On Christmas Eve, we all gather with our family to enjoy Christmas dinner. So, what does the real Christmas dinner look like? Tamale

Tamale was originally from Mexico and has now become a traditional item on the Christmas menu in the United States. A more accurate translation of Tamale should be tamales. The main ingredient is coarse corn kernels, which are wrapped in beef, chicken or vegetables. The outside is wrapped in corn leaves or banana leaves. Smell the fragrant scent of rice dumplings.

Oyster Stew

The most traditional and common Christmas soup selection is oyster cream soup. It is very simple to make, that is, slowly cook the oysters in cream and butter, and then boil the umami flavor of the oysters into the soup. This soup is perfect as the first appetizer of Christmas dinner.

How to make oyster soup

Raw materials:
20 oysters, 1/2 cup of white wine, 40 grams of butter, 40 grams of flour, 3 cups of milk, 2 cups of chicken stock, 1/2 cup of fresh cream, a little salt, a little pepper

Practice:
(1) Wash the oysters, steam them for 2 minutes in a medium-low heat such as white wine, turn off the heat and set aside.
(2) Melt the butter, then mix the flour into the butter with the ratio of butter and flour 1:1, and then let it cool for later use.
(3) Preheat the pot, add milk, chicken stock and seasonings. After boiling on medium heat, add it to (2) to make a cool butter and flour mixture, then add the oyster soup of (1) to simmer and cook. Add whipped cream before the pot and season it for the last time, mix well and enjoy.

Notice:
The butter and flour in (2) must be allowed to cool before being added to the hot soup.
